First, all routers are connected to servers. So I'm not 100% about where you're headed with that. The router is a gateway to a server and servers are what make up the internet and home and business networks. Some networks are made up of a router and a modem that connect to a server. Some the router is built into the modem. The modem directs you to a server. Every internet address leads to a different server and all of the servers together are what we collectively call the internet, but truly they are just individual servers that are available by means of an internet service provider who can connect to any of them. Really if you use the internet there's no avoiding your information going through a server. It sounds like you want to know if someone can capture your browsing history by looking at WiFi logs, the short answer is yes.

There is no direct way to access someone’s search history – even if they are connected to your home router. That said, you can set up your router to log a user’s browser history. In this guide, we’ll show you how you can do just that.

However, collecting data such as someone’s browsing history is a violation of their privacy. You should avoid accessing other people’s private browsing history and confine this method to legitimate uses such as monitoring your child’s internet usage, or your own.

This is why there are so many security concerns around public WiFi. The only way to avoid or block someone from seeing what sites you've been to is by use of a VPN. Using a Virtual Private Network a router would only log the VPN address while your search history would be only between you and the VPN, which we'll assume is safe. Your Android version wouldn't really matter.

routers can keep logs and so can your modem.

IMO, this day and age, when it comes to public wifi, it is best for the subscriber to keep logs. too many people use public wifi for illegal activity. also, if you share your wifi with a neighbor, you better keep logs. a few years ago in my town, a former police officer shared his wifi with a neighbor. one morning, his door came crashing open and a squad of police officers from the city, state, and fbi, enter his home. search his computer and his home for child porn. fortunately the logs saved his reputation and they traced the mac address to the neighbor.

the reality is, if you use wifi whether at home or in public, logs are being kept.
