Why do my recordings have lower quality than before?

[Android Central Question]

Hello,

Some minutes ago I wanted to make a sound recording at a sample rate of 44.1 khz using my Huawei p30 lite on Android 10. However, after listening to the final result, it sounded to me like it were recorded using a lower sample rate like 16khz. In other words, now every time I want to make a recording, it sounds like a WhatsApp voice note.

Do you know how can I fix this before trying to reset/wipe my phone? I'm not a root user.
