Can't login to Google from my phone.

I recently got a new phone and I'm trying to access my Google account, but it says my user name or password are incorrect. Why is that? I can log in from my PC using the same info. What's worse I got locked out from my tablet as well even though it previously worked fine. Does it have something to do with the 2 step verification process? What should I do?

I've had this trouble on a Windows phone. Could you try setting up a new Google account, but with exactly the same details?
