AC Question

I need serious help. A bunch of issues going on... My Nexus 4 continues to boot to Safe Mode, volume will just automatically reduce to vibrate (almost like stuck, but not), have to hold power button for 10 secs to reset, sometimes can press power button then power off, but then won't allow me to click ok.

What happened... had speaker facing out / screen against body during work out (wasn't thinking about sweat). Wiped dry afterwards. Seemed work fine, except screen a little finicky as expected. Few minutes later, it wouldn't turn on or anything. Finally with black screen, pressed volume up and got a beep as volume maxed, but no screen image.

Toying with it, finally got it to boot, but booted to the Fastboot screen with Android laying down, options below, Start / Power Off / Restart bootloader / Recovery Mode flashing on top. The volume controls won't toggle to any of the options, does nothing. Pressing power button sometimes boots it to Safe Mode, other times to the Droid laying with no command text.

Getting it back into Normal Mode is the biggest issue. Can deal with the rest for the most part. Help!

FYI, stock phone not rooted or anything. Got it used off ebay 10 months ago as replacement. No issues at all until this. Running 4.4.

If you truly suspect moisture, try submersing the phone in rice (powered off) for 24 - 48 hours.

However, the salts from sweat make the issue more uncertain as they have a corrosive effect. You could seek qualified repair.
