Problem - S3 gets hot and doesn't charge correctly

My samsung galaxy 3 gets hot to touch and will not charge correctly. How do you aor I fix this?

Sounds like you may need a new battery. If the phone is still under warranty it may be best to return it.

Also try installing the GSam battery app and see what it shows. Or look at the Battery screens and see if Android OS or another app is running too much.
Also turn off Master Sync, and Google+ and uncheck sync settings in Accounts - Google - your account, and see if that helps in the short term.
