How do I sync droid calendar with gmail calendar?

The trouble shooting refers to screens not visible on my droid 4. I do not have "accounts and sync" on the settings menu page. If I go to the google account it only tells me it's already on the device. I cannot find auto sync. When I tried to sync, the screen said "device calendar not syncable". Please help

Welcome to Android Central! When you say "Droid Calendar," are you referring to events saved to the "Phone Account" in your Calendar app? The Phone Account doesn't sync with Google--I usually recommend that people stay away from that account, since it's not syncable to Google, and if something happens to the phone, then you lose all of those events and contacts.

You'd probably have to export your Phone Account calendar events to a .csv file (check the Calendar menu for that option), then import that file back into the Calendar, this time under your Google account.
