I ripped some audio cds on a Windows 7 pc. The files were somehow assigned random names and folders arbitrarily created. I renamed all the files (lectures) in sequence. When I transfer them to my Galaxy S2, the files again assume random names and are all jumbled (out of sequence). I did this several times.

Welcome to Android Central! Did you try editing the ID3 tags using a program like MediaMonkey? Renaming the filenames themselves may not be enough.
