Should I have purchased this N9 over the Galaxy Tab S 8.4?

Was on the fence between the two. Through all the reviews I read, the exynos processor in the Tab S is sometimes choppy and programs freeze every once in a while. I'm not a gamer and primarily use my tablet for internet browsing and the occasional YouTube video. I'm also noticing that on the N9 when I'm on facebook (using in portrait position) that the pics posted look stretched out (pixelated) but when I turn the tablet sideways (landscape?) the pics look normal. Does the Tab S have this issue as well? Sorry I'm less than a novice when it comes to the technical stuff. basically just wanted some input as to whether it was worth spending an extra $100 for one tablet over another. Thx
