    I got the X gen 2 not too long ago for Verizon and a few people complained that there were times they could barely here me talking (sounded muffled or far away). I tried messing with settings, switching from Global mode, leaving WiFi off, clearing the cache, all of it. Didn't help.

    I called Motorola and they immediately offered to create and ship me a new one. I got the new one and it is even worse! It went from happening once or twice every couple of minutes to happening about five times every minute. It is making calls nearly impossible and very frustrating.

    Has anyone else had these issues or have any idea on how to possibly fix it?

    Yes!! I'm having this exact same issue with my Verizon Moto X 2nd Generation. People complain that my voice sounds muffled or cuts in and out. This happened with a brand new moto X in November 2014. I crushed that phone and my insurance replaced it with a refurbished Moto X in January 2015. I am experiencing the exact same problem with the replacement, as well. I have an Incipio case on my phone made specifically for this model. I have turned off haptic feedback and am careful not to put my fingers over the microphones yet the problem persists. Spoke with Verizon today and they suggested a factory reset. They also said that my gmail account could be corrupted and suggested I create a new gmail account and use it after the factory reset.
