Why is my stock email crashing and using up so much battery?

stock email crashing and using up battery

Hey guys I recently updated my android os with the att update. I'm running a galaxy s5 active btw, and it keeps telling me my email has stopped and also my watchdog program is showingthe email app is using way too much memory and constantly running. Any ideas? I've turned off auto syNc. Any other suggestions?

Try clearing the cache for that app in your application manager.
