How come, sometimes, my phone unlocks itself while in my pocket?

Sometimes I'm walking and I feel vibrations in my pocket, so I take out my phone and it's not even in locked mode, I can understand if it happened once but it happened a few times. Also why does my sounds seem lower than when I initially got my phone?
