Overriding the home screen button

[AC Question]

I have bought a leather cover for my Ace 4 but, although I turn the screen to "off" by using the power button, the screen comes back to life presumably because the cover is causing the power button to default to the home screen. I am concerned about excessive battery usage if this keeps happening. Anything I can do?

The only thing I could think to do would be to get a new case that doesn't press the button.
