Is this malware? "Urgent Android Update"

[AC Question]

I was surfing the net - a big known news site, so it's not the site that is the problem i guess.

But then suddenly I received some kind of a push notification, saying that I should update my system to get faster web surfing ect. du to the fact that my system was out-dated. Which it is not!

I know for sure that it's not a legit system update as they never come like this, but what is it, and why do I get it?

(I have a screen shot I can post if it was possible in this forum)

Neither AVG Antivirus og Malwarebytes has found anything on my phone (HTC One M8)
