    I turned off mobile data and have access to wifi, will I be charged (verizon) for messaging?

    If you're using the Verizon Messages app, you can text 'for free' if on WiFi. However, the texts will still be charged according to your plan. So usually messages to US numbers will be free, but unless you're in the MORE plans, international texting is not included and will incur in international messaging charges depending on your plan.
