Which is the Best and easiest way to root Galaxy S3 I9300?

I tried rooting my S3 using Odin. i used CF Root file and started Odin, but it got stuck on recovery option only. Tried changin usb port and cable n all combinations, but all in vein. As a result got Firmware upgrade issue.
It was really a bad experience for the first time. plz is there any safest and easiest way to root s3 and flash custom rom?

It depends on what version of Android you're running. (Rooting is done by exploiting a bug in the firmware. As soon as someone comes out with a root method for that bug, Google patches it in the next update, and that method doesn't work any more.)

You can flash a stock ROM by following [Samsung] How to flash Stock ROM via ODIN. The best way to root it then depends on the version of Android you're running. Some of the 4.3 ROMs at Firmware for Samsung GT-I9300I - SamMobile should root with Kingo. 4.4.4 and later? Look on XDA Forums in the international S3 section.
