Htc onemini2.When unlocked it goes to Google search, instead of home screen. how to switch it off??

Ive just bought a htc one mini 2, and when I unlock the phone, instead of going to my home screen, it goes straight to Google search. I have to close that down to see my home screen, which is annoying. Can anyone help? I just want to unlock my phone, and see the home screen.

Welcome to Android Central! Do you mean that it's going to Google Now? If you're swiping up to unlock, make sure you start at the Unlock icon, and not from below the screen. Swiping up from below the screen will make the phone think you want to open Google Now (it's actually if you swipe up from the Home button).
