My phone overheated.

AC Question

Well as somewhat usual, I left my phone charging over night. But I woke up later at 5 a.m and unplugged it because there was a thunderstorm outside. I used it for maybe half an hour, and then I put it under my pillow and went back to sleep. Six hours later my pillow is extremely hot as well as my phone, and it won't turn on. Now I took the battery out and left it to cool. But still it won't turn on after I place the battery in the phone again.
What's wrong?

Welcome to AC.

*GENERAL WARNING*
Putting the phone under the pillow is a bad idea and potentially dangerous. We have had posts like yours from others who have done it.

Charge the battery, then try holding Power and Volume Up+Down for a minute or two. If no go, consider taking the phone to a repairer.
