how can I transfer music from a Cd to a LG phone

I would rip it to windows media player or whichever pc you have, and either let media player sync with the device and set it's own file sizes, or drag the larger / lossless music files directly to the Music folder on the LG, both using a usb cable.
Others may have better options for you. I am a bit old school.
