Samsung galaxy s6 won't come on but has the little notification light blinking

Pushing the button for it to come on and it won't. The only thing that is on is the little notification light blinking

I wouldn't factory reset or reflash the firmware. If long-pressing the power button doesn't force a reset, I'd go back to one of my main rules - phone under warranty + doesn't work = replacement.
