Why is Android Auto Recommendations not working anymore?

I'm trying to set up my ringtone for calls and I want the song to start in the middle of the MP3. Usually I just click auto recommendations at the bottom and it starts in the best spot, but it won't work anymore. Whenever I get a call, the correct song starts playing, but it plays from the beginning.

I know it's not a big deal, but it's really irritating and I need a way to fix this.

You probably need to use another app to clip the section of music you want to use as a ringtone and set that. Otherwise, see if there are any other ringtone editing apps to allow you to customize the ringtone as you want.
