AC Question

Hi

We have just had a new BT home hub fitted, before this the tablet worked fine. Now the tablet says it is connected to the wifi but when I try to search the internet I get an error message either "there has been a problem please retry" or that the DNS connection is not working.

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Call BT. See if you can get the hub's address, so you can connect to it and see if it's getting a DNS address. (The phone should actually be using the hub's address for DNS, but it's a bit [just a tiny bit] faster if it uses the DNS server's address.)

It's possible that the new hub isn't compatible with Android - the newer Linksys routers have some problems in that area. But it's something BT is going to have to solve, unless you can find out what static address range the hub will accept and set the phone up to use a static IP and manual DNS addresses..
