Returning rooted phone

[AC Question]

Hi, I recently rooted my phone in order to remove the pre-installed bloatware that was using most of my memory. The phone is new, I had it for a week, and for some reason the phone doesn't detect the SIM card after 20-30 minutes of functioning normally. The fact that I rooted it has absolutely nothing to do with the malfuctioning, in fact I rooted the phone, removed all unneeded apps, then I unrooted it. I was wondering if I could get in trouble for sending it back and getting a refund.
