Note edge unlock screen lag

[AC Question]

When I unlock my screen it will lock up most of the time. ive tried all the different unlock screens and they all lag. For example if I have the fingerprint lock screen active and I swipe my finger it makes the unlock noise but stays at the lock screen like it froze and about 2-5 seconds later it will unfreeze and be normal. I just bought the phone and ive noticed this lag after it updated to lollipop 5.1.1. Any ideas

Try entering recovery mode and do a wipe of the Cache Partition. This will not delete important data. Major update have caused misery for many, some have experienced no issues, and then others, many.

I personally suggest a full factory reset after each major update. If you choose this option, please be sure to back up all your important data first.

I did that clear cache and it seems to be better. alot less lag. but still a little. its tolerable, it was so bad before id have to hard reset it because it became unresponsive.

I had the same issue on my Note 4, when I had it. Ended up disabling fingerprint scanner, it was a known bug for that OS.
