Why can I not save to my SD card from text message pictures?

I bought the LG G5 today, and when I try to save images from texts, it says "Copying attachment to SD card failed," or "Failed - SD card unavailable." I formatted it already, so that should not be the problem. The card was also bought from verizon, so I do not think it is unofficial. It is a san disk 64 gig.

How are you trying to copy them over? Using the internal File Manager?
