how to get phone from a password accidentslly put on it

my kids were playing with the phone accidentally put a password to it now im not able to use it help

Factory reset from recovery... Google search the button combo for your device.

If the phone is connected to internet, you can use Android Device Manager from your PC to reset the password. Factory reset will delete all data and pictures and stuff. DO NOT DO IT YET.
