Can't play video from my gallery phone message tone also not working

When I go into my gallery I cannot play the video I get no fault message all that happens is the video is like a steel slide I can continually press play and get it to slide show but will not play video if I press play it just automatically pauses
Also getting no notification sound for my text messages ringtone has stopped working when I go into the selection to select which ringtone I would like I get a brief sound but will not play full tones I've also done a full system reboot ringtones gallery player everything work for about 6 hours but has stopped working after update I just run with a standard media player which was supplied by Samsung on the S6 edge I've also tried to use VLC player it does the exact same thing had not change any settings but like I said I have tried a full wipe and reboot
This is a very annoying but can anyone please help

Some samsung devices you have to download the video player first. Or try playing the videos from the file manager not gallery perhaps....

Also make sure you have an app that can play that kind of video file.
