Why does splanner on new S7 no longer show notifications?

I have had my S7 since it was available to preorder and had no problems at all with splanner until there was a recent settings update. Now when I create an event and set a reminder it no longer shows the reminder against a little clock when you tap on the date you have to tap again to take you to the actual calendar page. I have also found that if you set two reminders, say one for the day before the event and one three hours before the event that only one reminder ever goes off and in this case it would be the 1 day before reminder. Has anyone else had similar issues please? I might add that the only way I can get it to do the two reminders is to physically remove the first reminder on the calendar once it has gone off then the second one will work. Any comments please?
