Why is my screen staying black?

I dropped my phone today. After that it had two lines running down it. I tried restarting it but now the screen is staying black. The blue notification light is on though. Is there anything I can try to do myself to fix this?

Hi, the only real thing you should do is take it to a repair shop and have someone look at it. The screen might be broken, but there might also be other damage to the internals.
