I got pop up warning when using my browser that tells me my phone is at risk unless I download the antivirus sw. The message starts out "us.twkgkq.xyz says..." I got the same pop up earlier that started "uk.tangle.xyz says..."

I stopped the browser by going to settings/apps and restarted my phone the first time I got the pop up but I guess it didn't do the trick since I got it again but from "us..." instead of "uk...".

What do you recommend I do?

I would avoid any popup that tried to redirect me to any download/site at all costs. At the very least it's some antivirus company trying to scare you into buying their product. At the worst, it's malware. Kill popups in your browser, and if it's persistent, consider adblocking app. I have Adguard in my phones and never get any ads. Also, some sites are worse than others with ads, i just avoid them and use others. Good luck!

Run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware until it completes, then a good antivirus app. If they don't get rid of it you need either a) to reflash the ROM or b) to restore from a backup you made before you got the virus. (You DO make periodic backups, right?)
