AC Question

I have a Mecer model s10-3g tablet, running what I assume to be android 4.4. I can't check as the error message makes it impossible to do anything else except click 'ok', at which point the message pops back on again and so forth. I have tried different fixes suggested online, but no luck as of yet. I assumed factory reset would resolve the problem but no matter what I do the problem persists. Is this an sd-card related problem? I notice an sd-card symbol with an '!', while there is no card inserted.

I would appreciate any suggestions.
