Bluetooth Audio Issues

[AC Question]

I've been using my Samsung Galaxy S5 connected to an Audioengine B1 bluetooth receiver to play music in my car. The sound quality is excellent, until I connect my new Dell Venue 8 7840 tablet. There's a major lack in bass, overwhelming treble and the audio sounds wavy (seems to fade from front to back and up and down in volume). Im using the same media player app with the EQ off on both devices. So what's the difference in bluetooth audio between the S5 and the Venue 8 7840? As far as I know they both have v4.0
