My phone is not outputing from headphones even though they're plugged in properly. Why ?

My phone is not outputing audio from headphones even though they're plugged in properly plz help.Notes:1)now since they're plugged in the sound balance option is available.2) It's not the headphones cuz I tried multiple ones. 3)The phone is playing from speakers instead.4)this is terrible ! Since it happen out of nowhere.

Hi and welcome to Android Central.

Have you tried cleaning out the headphone jack by repeatedly inserting and the headphones rapidly? Sometimes that helps.
