Samsung S7 audio recordings corrupting?

I switched from s5 to s7 about 6 months ago. I use audio recording device quite a bit for work purposes. Everything file prior to switching to S5 is perfectly audible however any recording for the past 6 months since my S7 will playback the recording in its entirety perfectly fine, however a few days later when I go back to the recording to listen to recording again, it will play for approximately 10 or 20 minutes and the rest of the recording is completely lost ( as if the file corrupted). This happens to random files and for random amounts of recorded time. I never know if my recording that was there 1 day perfectly fine will work a few days later. Samsung customer services tells me its a Google app problem!

Never had this problem with Blackberry, IPhone or S5 and all my files prior to switching to S7 are perfectly fine... its only since I changed to S7.

Any advice on what is causing this problem and how to fix it to get my files back to hear the entire recording?
