Nexus 5 Coaxial Socket Misshapen

AC Question

Hi there,

After installing a new battery in my Nexus 5, I noticed that the mobile data on my device was no longer working (it was showing up as 'No Service'). After taking it apart again, I realised that the black coaxial cable was not connected. However, upon trying to plug it back in, I noticed that the socket on the motherboard that it should click into was misshapen (this probably happened when I was prying off the back of the device).

I've tried pushing it back into shape, but I cannot seem to get it back into a circular shape.

Any help would be much appreciated.

TL;DR: No service on device because black coaxial socket is misshapen.

Well, if you can't somehow manipulate the connector yourself, then you might want to take it to a repair shop. Not much anyone can do for you on a forum except tell you to use very fine needle-nose pliers or something like that.
