Moto G 2nd gen (2014) won't come on after installing new screen

[AC Question]

I just finished installing a new screen on my brother's Moto G 2nd gen (2014) phone. When I push the power button to start it up, the screen stays blank and about 10-15 seconds after I release the power button, I feel a short vibration but the screen stays blank. Is it possible I have a bad (new) screen? The battery is fully charged and I double checked all the connections...any help would be appreciated!
