Why is my email not come through my sync is connected

I'm not sure what to do. I have a Samsung note 4 and my emails will not come through to my phone please help

what email domain are you using? what type of account did you add on your phone? are you sure that what you are using follows the standards of the email server you are using?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 and it is not sync with my email. Specifically my yahoo account. The gmail works.
I have tried the following:
1. manually sync
2. Auto sync
3. uninstall and reinstall yahoo account
4. Cleared app cache
5. Cleared the phone cache and rebooted
Still not working.....any ideas?

Using a computer or web browser, go to your Yahoo account and verify that you are allowing third-party apps to use the "legacy" username and password system. Yahoo wants people to think they upgraded their security, so by default they are blocking out non-Yahoo apps.
