Gallery is not a location, it is an app.
Assuming the photos are on the internal storage, use a file browser app to copy them to the SD card. (Copy first, then delete from the internal storage.)
Check your settings in the camera app. Some camera apps will let you set the output folder to the SD card.

If you are getting photos from messaging apps, you will need to repeat the move/copy process with each of them.

Welcome to Android Central! Another way would be to connect the phone via USB to your computer and use Windows Explorer to drag and drop the photo files from the /DCIM/Camera directory on Internal Storage to the SD card.
