If I speaking on the phone while driving and have my Google Maps on it I will hear the directions. Once I disconnect the caller - I do not hear voice directions. What am I doing wrong?

Also - Maps is media, the phone is Phone. See if the car connection has both, and turn off the media connection when you're using Maps.

I am having the same problem, and it seems to have started sometime after the latest Android update (I am on Android version 7.0, security patch level January 5, 2017). I have bluetooth connected to my car phone for the sake of talking hands-free. In the past, I have been able to navigate using Google Maps and have heard the directions just fine. Now I only hear directions if I'm also on a phone call. In the past, I had an option: Google Maps / Settings / Navigation setting / Play voice over Bluetooth -- I would make sure that was turned off, and all was good. Now, I don't even have that option showing up anymore. Anybody know how I can fix that? Nothing has changed on my car, so I don't think it's a setting there.
