Why are albums and playlists syncing out of order?

Does anyone know how to transfer albums and playlists in order from Windows Media Player to LG G5? The tracks appear in WMP in numerical order, I am running Windows 7; WMP version 12.0.760.123517 and syncing to a G5 running Android Marshmallow. I am befuddled, as this never happened on any of 4 other android phones. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forums. I am not sure as to why, but have you tried transferring the music without the playlists? Or in smaller batches?

Welcome to Android Central! I've always found WMP to sync music poorly with Android devices. What format are the music files in? Do they have valid ID3 tags? Do the filenames start with the track number?
