Several months ago I downloaded an app called "Private Notepad" (and app made by Alexander Malikov) but I went so long without using it that I forgot my password. I've tried everything to access my files inside, everything from plugging my phone into my computer and searching for the file, to using an app transfer program to create a replica apk on my computer, and searching the code. But to no avail. It also will not allow me to transfer the app to my SD card, which makes finding the app file nearly impossible.

    Any help would be appreciated.

The probable answer, though, is that the only way to access the files is by using the original password. If the author kept a "back door" to the app, it wouldn't be very secure. (*I'd* certainly never use it for anything I didn't want others to see. Just use a password safe from now on, and you only have to remember 1 password for thousands of apps and sites.)
