For music and photo storage will adding an SD card to my galaxy On5 help?

I'm new to the cell phone world (don't ask). I love this phone, except for the storage issue. I was told adding an SD Card would help, but I though the vendor put one in. Settings-Lock screen and security says "No SD Card inserted." I only see one slot inside so where do I insert a new one. (Looking at a 128 Gig; I really like my music and photos!) I can't afford another phone, so... Also getting annoyed by the lock screen popping on while using the phone while charging.

The SD card slot should be under the back cover. Remove it and see if you see the slot. You can insert up to a 256 GB SD card. Make sure the SD card is formatted for use with your device (FAT32). Let us know if you have any questions.

Just verified, and Magnus is correct, the Samsung On5 DOES support up to a 256 GB card (so a 128 GB should work fine)....
