My Samsung Note 6 does not charge when placed on the charger in my 2017 Escallade

[AC Question]

The charging bolt comes on for about 10 seconds and then goes off. It doesn't seem to matter where I place it on the pad. I also have a 7S and it does the same thing. They both charge at home when put on the Qi charging mat so I know its not the phone what am I doing wrong?

Welcome to Android Central! Note5 or Galaxy S6? There is no Note 6.

Is this a magnetic wireless charger, or does it hold the phone in place with brackets? When the charging symbol goes away, can you get it to come back if you move the phone around a bit?
