voice assistant on my Galaxy Grand Prime can'y shut off.

The voice assistant came on somehow while the phone was in my pocket. Now I cannot access the phone, double swiping does not let me in. double tapping the phone icon after the initial tap does nothing. I thought is I could get to the phone function, I might be able to reach settings, but no luck. I have taken the battery out in hopes of shifting this, but to no avail.
