Restrict the bandwidth to an App

A

AC Question

I have playstation Vue app install on my Android phone and its eating up my data so I thought I could restrict the bandwidth settings to max of say 500kbps to an app. How would one go about doing this?

I actually don't believe there is a way of restricting an exact data allotment to a particular app at this time. However, one thing you'll want to make sure of (if you haven't already) is the following:

Go to settings > apps > Playstation vue > Tap on data usage > Make sure background data is set to off. That should hopefully stop eating up useless data when the app is not being used.

There are 3rd party apps that can control data to a particular app, but they are typically designed for enterprise business use.

Does anyone no of a app that can be used to accomplish this?

I have no problem buying it

Thanks again
I'm not aware if there's an app that will do something like restrict online access by a specified amount but you can download a firewall app that will allow you to selectively block/allow apps from any online connectivity using WiFi and using mobile data. So as an example you can allow xxxxx app to be able to have WiFi connectivity while blocking it from any mobile data connectivity. Take a look at NetGuard (and it's free and has active development)
