The Flickr app says "Sorry, we cannot log you into Flickr. Please try again."

Android 6.0.1 on alcatel Fierce 4. Both the "Sign in" and the "Create new account" buttons produce the same error message. I've rebooted the device, and I've uninstalled and re-installed the Flickr app. Nothing seems to work. I'm signed into Flickr via the browser. No issues there.
