How can I delete an email stuck in the outbox?

I have an Android mini. A sent message has been stuck in the outbox for three days. I just want to delete it. When I tap on it, it won't let me open because it says it is in the process of sending. How can I just get rid of it?

Try putting the phone into Airplane Mode, then deleting or cancelling the email. I've done that once or twice on iPhones, though never needed to on Androids. Tell us how it goes. https://forums.androidcentral.com/showthread.php?t=409154
