Can't move any apps to SD card

My android (6.0.1) LG K8 V never shows the option in the App Manager to move the apps to the SD card. My LG G3 Vigor did this, and many say the File Manager can do it too but the apps aren't present there. How do I move the apps to the SD card without rooting my phone and possibly breaking the apps?

Not all versions of android support moving parts of apps to the SD card.
Not all phones support moving parts of apps to the SD card.
Most apps do not let themselves or parts of themselves be moved to the SD card.

Leave the apps on the internal storage; that is where they are happiest.
Use the SD card for your photos, music, videos, and documents.

Check the settings of the apps that use lots of space for their data. Some of the apps will let you store the data on the SD card.
