Apps that use Google Maps are not working after 7.0 update on my Sprint SG6

So I updated to Android 7.0 Nougat on my Spring SG6. Since the update, Google maps work fine as it always has, but other apps that use the Google map as their location finder and map overlay do not work. Only a blank screen comes up where the street map should be. Some apps however, do show a "satellite" image but none show the street map view. So far I have found 4 apps that are experiencing the same problem. I need help as I am unable to find any settings that will alleviate this problem. Any suggestions or known fixes?
