AC Question

I'd like to listen to music in a browser, while playing on a game app, but for most apps, the phone seems to refresh them when i switch from one to the other, not allowing me to multitask, is there a way i can keep the apps from refreshing or closing down while i'm switching out?

I've never seen an option for this. I believe your devices CPU and RAM determine how long apps can be idle or remain running in the background. What are your device specs? Apps stay idle on my LG V20 for some time, but it has a quad-core CPU and 4GB of RAM. CPU X (Free) can give you a complete list of specs. I suppose you could Root your device to overclock your CPU and tweak your hardware performance, but you will still be limited by the hardware it's self anyways. Besides, not all android devices can be rooted, and it's a lengthy and sometimes complex process with many risks

When you multitask between apps, the apps get messages sent to them by the OS to let them know that they are being swapped from and swapped to so that they can do the "correct" thing of saving/restoring user data and app states.

The data saved and state saved are up to the individual app.
The restored data and restored state are up to the individual app.

For an internet browser, it is not surprising that it would refresh in such a way that it messes up your video or music playing. This is why most folks use apps specially made for that purpose.
