UICC unlock issues keeps giving me error and opens up Hands Free Activation?

I chatted with Sprint Worldwide and they just kept telling me to restart phone again and again. Eventually they told me to go in the store. It would be great to have some insight before I take it into store.
There is a Samsung Galaxy S6 on my account but no longer active as I upgraded to the Galaxy s8. However, I'm trying to use global sim on Freedompop on the Samsung Galaxy S6 since I believe the S6 supports GSM? The Sprint rep asked me to click "UICC unlock" multiple times with the sprint sim card in and it always brings me up to "Hands Free Activation" and it fails and fails. What do I do? Can anyone help?
